After a succesful moving and merging of CustomBits.net and JosNienhuis.nl, I decided to make the next step; create a mobile layout. It's already live but none the less still in beta since I've just tested on my own HTC One (and some emulators).

Since maintaining two domains (and a subdomain!) is a little much I decided to move this blog and all of it's contents to my personal homepage JosNienhuis.nl.

The new trend in the latest generation Android phones is to incorporate an IR transmitter. A lot of fun to muck around with, like turning of all the TVs in some electronics store and watching how the sales clerks scramble around, clueless about what's going on.
But there are some legitimate uses for it. It can come in handy when you lost that control in your coach again or you're just being to lazy to get up and fetch it.
I wanted to control my HTPC with it as well but I ran in to a little snag, dig in to this article to find that bump in the road and a way around it.
Finally got my HTC One on my new contract!
It's a nice little gadget however it has some practical downsides. Missing a menu key on your brand new HTC One or you find it impossible to reach out for the powerbutton? Come join the club!
